Speaker of the House John Boehner said Wednesday morning President Obama is essentially asking for a blank check to fix the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, and that's something House Republicans aren't willing to give the White House.
Obama has asked for $3.7 billion to shore up the Southwest border amid the influx of unaccompanied minors crossing into the country from Central America. House Republicans instead have offered about $1.5 billion and proposed a host of changes to a 2008 human trafficking law that would make it easier for these children to be deported back to Central America.
Um...why does it take this much money? Am I missing something?
